What is the Specified Skills Worker Visa #1?
New visa from April 2019

Possible to work full-time for up to 5 years
In order to qualify for a Specified Skilled Worker Visa type 1, you must pass the Specified Skills Evaluation Test and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N4 level or higher according to the field chosen.
Available in the following industries (• Food Service Industry, • Building Cleaning Industry, • Manufacture of Food and Beverages etc.)
The Program
Location: Nagano Campus, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka.
You must study with a student visa, then you can join this course.
Minimum requirements include:
Approximately 1,500,000 JPY (or equivalent in your currency at the time), shown in a bank statement.
This is so that the school and immigration know that you have the financial ability to pay for tuition, food, transport and accommodation for a year.
Classes and learning systems specialized for exam preparation
Elective classes allow students to plan and study in order to pass the skills assessment test.
You will repeatedly attempt exam preparation questions using LMS* to get used to the test format and type of questions.
*Learning Management System (Online platform developed by the school)The career center and its specialized staff will provide you with extensive support to help you pass the exam.
Experienced staff will help you connect with companies
Staff will introduce part-time jobs related to the accommodation and food service industries with an eye towards employment under the Specified Skilled Worker visa type 1.
After passing the skills assessment test, they will introduce (match) you to job openings at partner companies.
Support in applying for permission to change your status of residence after receiving a job offer.
